I have just recently switch phone service provider.
ALAS! For the longest time, i was convinced to switch. Not by competition but because of their own damn policy.
Yes I am talking about Globe's Fair usage policy. And in a nut shell, it SUCKS!
For a very long time, i was a "loyal" customer. And to say at least, I was happy with the service.
It was a happy relationship at the beginning. Whenever Globe does something like a promo, i supported. Like a true friend, i would back Globe up and say something like, "Kaya mo yan!" and pats it's shoulder for re-assurance.
But fate is sometimes cruel.
I thought I have a friend. I thought I knew Globe.
But for a long time also, he was just a crook hiding beneath the "Blue Starry Sky".

Globe is just another MOTHERFUCKINGCROOKSELLINGJUNK! Like some shady merchant, to sell some stuff it would resort to good advertising. And like any good advertising, it is just some crappy product covered with sweet lies!
How could you advertise something with a label "Unlimited Call and TEXT" or "Unlimited Surfing" when it has a limit??!!!
What the F???!!!
And I would not have known about this shit if I didn't become curios on why after just 4 hours of surfing on which i have a acquired a 24 hours unlimited surf, i have received a notification stating that I have reached my daily max download of 800 motherfucking MB and it would resume tomorrow! You burned me!
Ok here is what happened.
I register for the SuperSurf for just a day at around 10 pm, because i have considered the off peak hours to be faster, which would supposedly end tomorrow the same time.
Lets say i began surfing until past 12am and got disconnected. I have checked my usage and it is around 400mb.
Then I reconnected again and used it till 2am and i got disconnected again. Checked again the usage and it is around 400 mb again. OK?
I tried to reconnect again, several times, but still to no avail. I would have tried it for several times more but, thankfully, I have received a notification that i have reached my max and it would resume the next day.
The next day??! By that time, my subscription would be over!
And I have suffered also the same when i registered for the unlimited call and text. After that, I could not register anymore.
Instead of calling the customer service representative, of which was my previous job, because I know that they would just be making a report, and or saying like canned answers. I have researched on the internet if i was not the first one to have that kind of problem.
And it lead me to this wonderful group:

How can you advertise something that says you can text and call to a million subscribers when you blocked numbers from your paying customers!
And under your usage policy, how can you tell if a number is sending spam messages, or calls?? do your read their messages??
My solution is, instead of joining some FB group ousting the FUP because I know that would be a waste of time, I switched to SMART! :)
And coincidentally, Philip De Franco was also saying something like this about Net Neutrality.
Hey if the government Can't protect its own citizens from being blatantly LIED to, consumer demand is the answer. Leave that service, get out of Globe!
Maybe they'll listen if half of their customer switched! :)
